Situation
Somewhere House ran core client recording and administration on paper and disconnected processes. Staff on different sites could not always access up-to-date records when supporting clients.
Challenge
The leadership team wanted to go fully paperless — improving safeguarding, reducing duplication, and making case note recording and discharge reporting less burdensome for clinical and support staff.
Any new system had to be straightforward for frontline staff; complexity drives resistance and shadow paper systems.
Solution
Somewhere House implemented GreenShoots as its single case management platform. Staff record case notes digitally, with secure access from authorised devices.
Discharge processes and reporting workflows were aligned in the system so information entered once flows into required outputs.
Outcome
The organisation became entirely paperless. Staff securely access client records from anywhere. Case note recording and discharge reporting are materially easier than under the previous paper-based approach.
In their words
"GreenShoots has enabled us to become an entirely paperless organisation. Staff can now securely access client records from anywhere. Case note recording and Discharge reporting are now much easier."
— Angie Clarke, Somewhere House
